Voices that rock...

I am so glad that the whole teen pop scene has finished. To me personally, I hated it. I bugged me. Ya I thought they were all cute and all, but as for singing, it wasn't really music to my ears. Well actually, I don't think it was music at all. For that time it was kind of shameful to say you liked a female vocal. But now I think times have changed. Here's a few reasons why:

1. Kelly Clarkson has a voice that can really just get into it and rock out. Considering she is the biggest star so far to come out of American Idol, she has done really well. She is like the "back in the day" Alanis Morisette (I know everybody rocked out to her "back in the day"). But as I was saying Kelly Clarkson has a voice that can really carry and rock out (ie. Gone).

2. Christina Aguilera can definitely be a slutty slutty whore sometimes and she was part of that whole teen pop and she is a dirty slutty slutty little whore, BUT, when she sings Jazz, I am sorry to Norah Jones (which I will talk about later) but one of the best female Jazz vocalists I think around. I suggest everyone listening to the song "A Song For You" by her and Herbie Hancock (and no it's not just something you call a signature).

3. Norah Jones kind of sneaked up on me by suprise. When Foo Fighters (my favorite band of pretty much long time) came out with there new double album cd, In Your Honor (buy this ALBUM!!!), on the 2nd cd (which is the acoustic cd) song #8 "Virginia Moon" they had Norah do a duet with Dave. I feel in love from that moment. Norah has done many duets with many large bands. You might not even known it but you've probably already been listening to her. And as many of you may know, I am quite partial to brunette's.

4. Shakira can not only sing in Spanish, but also ENGLISH!!!!! (that's a joke y'all). Not only is she real small and hot, I like the way she moves. But with that all aside, I don't know what it is about her voice, but I like it. Kind of scary to say but it's like Cher's but a lot better. I don't know how to explain it. It just sounds good

5. Amy Lee is another one that carries there voice when they get into it. You may all recognize her as the female vocals from the band, Evanescence. Like in the the song, "Bring me to life", when it gets to the chorus and she is belting out the chorus, her voice holds and it pulls through very nicely.

Well just for right now I will only give you these five. If you have any good ideas, let me know.

I need to go to bed now. I have to go shoot bambi's mommy and daddy in the morning.
