Better Than Ezra, $25. Fall Out Boy, $23. Being the ONLY cool white guy in a class, PRICELESS!

So I have now learned that GOOD bands tend to frequent this area with GOOD live shows. Coming up on December 10th, Better Than Ezra and Jason Mraz will be playing at the Norva. I have enjoyed the jazz influenced rock band from New Orleans, BTE, ever since my oldest brother Chris introduced me to the song "Good". Being from Utah, I never got a chance to see the band play. Then on December 14th, Fall Out Boy, Lifehouse, some other people, and then some supposedly good looking people from the show Laguna Beach are coming. December should be a fun season.

I have now succesfully gone through one week of training for collections. It's been a lot of fun. To tell the truth, I felt out of place a little. You know, being one of the only two white guys in class is not what I am normally used to. So I kind of just started only really talking to the other white guy. Then realizing he was a complete moron, I started to actually get a long a lot better with everyone else in class and basically completely have nothing in common with the guy you think I mostly would. So I am actually considered the cool white guy in class. I love VA!

Good morning, starshine... the earth says hello!

Well, I just bought the special edition 2 dvd set of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I must say that I love that movie. Now seeing it for the second time, I think I learned a very important lesson. Freak apply it to your life dang it!

When anything is enjoyable and it makes you smile, don't think about it too much cause that makes it into something that it's not.

Is there something seem to not belong in this room or is it just me....

Well it is me. Being the 1 out of the 2 white people in a class of 22 definitely makes me feel awkward sometimes. Then even looking at the 1 out of 2; 1) the other white guy is very wierd and I don't like associating with him and 2) I am only half white.

This job though, if I do it right, is going to make me a lot of money if I do it right. Plus, out of 900 people I am the only one that speaks japanese, so all the japanese clients (few but some) will be mine when they call in. meaning, I make the money on it. Today while listening to some of the announcements, the average bonus check was around $1000 with several over $2000. Trust me I counted those zero's right. Also one of the other perks of working here is also going to be the big party in january. Let's just say, I could rent a tux for it.

That basically has been my life for the last two days. Oh ya and driving home across the James River Bridge at 5:10pm into the sunset is a site to see. I need sleep now.

I feel like a kid going to the first day of school

So like I have been out here for exactly 1 month and 1 day now and tomorrow, I finally start my job out here. Its going to be a really good job. I will work for a company called Portfolio Recovery Associates. Its collections and all, but I have worked in this type of job for a long time so it really doesn't scare me. Plus when your making good money, hmmph you can deal with stuff.

Since I have moved out here I have been attending my parents ward each sunday. But for the last two weeks I have driven out aways and checked out a different singles ward each week. I think I have found a winner. I know yall must be thinkin, "oh well, I guess he found a ward with some hotties in it." Well that is true, but it also just feels like a ward that I can fit into well. It's out in Virginia Beach, so it's like 30 minutes from my house. So I'll just go have to keep seeing if its really worth the drive each week.

Well nothing more to say but I am excited for work tomorrow.

Do you think I did anything today?

Nope...
